On the other hand, I should analyze literature dedicated to cloud computing, mobile technology and customer behaviour to shape the general view on prospects of the implementation of the new application. The new application will definitely offer new opportunities for customers and the proposed research should forecast effects of its implementation and possible customer response. In addition, the proposed research should foresee possible difficulties and suggest ways to their resolution or prevention to make the implementation of the new application successful.
Methods
The proposed research should involve subjects that are involved in the production and distribution of the application and using the application. In this regard, the study may involve managers of companies offering cloud computing services as well as IT specialists. In addition, the study should involve consumers, who may use the new application to find out their possible response to the introduction of the new application and to obtain as much information as possible about needs of customers and their behaviour.
Therefore, the proposed study will focus on using qualitative methods of analysis. Qualitative methods of analysis will help to obtain detailed information on the subject of the study and define accurately possible problems and their resolution that may arise in the course of the implementation of the new application. Qualitative methods of analysis may be subjective but the adequate analysis of the information collected in the course of the study allows decreasing the subjectivity of findings.
The proposed study will use interviews that will be prepared for each group of subjects, including managers, IT professionals, and consumers. These groups are crucial for the current study and their opinion and attitude to the new application can help to understand possible effects of the implementation of the application. Interviews allow the interviewer to obtain accurate information from subjects of the study and, what is more, the interviewer can ask questions to precise the information he/she wants to obtain from subjects of the study.
Furthermore, questionnaires can help to obtain information that is important for me. Unlike interviews, subjects will be limited in their responses to options suggested by the researcher. In such a way, the researcher will focus subjects on issues that are important for the proposed study. The researcher can obtain detailed information on the subject of the study and compare the information obtained from different respondents. Therefore, questionnaires help to reveal more information on the subject of the study.
Finally, the proposed study will use focus groups to conduct the further research. On obtaining and analyzing information collected from interviews and questionnaires, I should organize the work of focus groups to analyze issues of a particular interest for the implementation of the new application and influencing consumer behaviour. For instance, focus groups can discuss such issues as technical characteristics of the new application, how it can be implemented and how consumers can use the new application, what steps the application developers should undertake to facilitate the use of the application, what promotion consumers need to start buying the new application, and so on. In such a way, focus groups will give insights to the practical aspects of the implementation of the new application and its further development.
Findings
The findings of the proposed research will be grounded on the data collected after the implementation of the methods suggested above. I will collect the information from interviews, questionnaires, and focus groups. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that, at the beginning, interviews and questionnaires should be conducted. In fact, interviews and questionnaires provide me with essential information concerning the proposed research. The information collected from interviews and questionnaires will be basic information for the analysis. This information should be collected and processed. After the analysis of interviews and questionnaires, I can make primary assumptions concerning findings of the study. The findings of the study will give insight toward the further work of focus group but, basically, focus groups should focus on such issues as the technical aspects of the introduction of the new application that gives users ability to watch home security systems, the impact of the new application on the consumer behaviour and possible challenges the new application may face in the course of the implementation. In such a way, interviews and questionnaires will prepare me and subjects for the work in focus groups. At the same time, focus groups will help to find plausible solutions to challenges the new application may face at different stages, from the stage of development and technical implementation to the stage of the marketing introduction of the new application. Focus groups will provide me with further information for analysis. After the analysis of the information collected from focus groups, I can make clear and concise conclusions on the subject of the study. In such a way, I will reveal possible challenges as well as the way to their elimination in the course of the introduction of the new application.
Discussion
The discussion will focus on the analysis of findings of the study. I will pay a particular attention to the analysis of the implementation of the new application and suggest strategies for the elimination of possible obstacles on the way to the implementation of the application that allows users to watch home security information just right from their mobile phone. The proposed research may have certain limitations, which have to be discussed in the course of the discussion part. For instance, the study may lack statistical methods of analysis, which could be helpful in terms of the revelation of current trends in the development of mobile and cloud computing as well as in the consumer behaviour. In addition, I should pay a particular attention to the analysis of practical aspects of the implementation of the new application. For instance, I may reveal perfect technical solutions to the implementation of the application but I should consider how the application will work in the real life and, what is more, I should find out whether consumers need this application or probably it will be absolutely useless for them.
Results and conclusions
Finally, the results of the study should be stated clearly in the final part of the proposed research. The results should summarise the key findings made in the course of the study. I should give insights toward possible further research in this field as well as provide conclusions concerning the results of the proposed research. In such a way, the research will sum up the work on the proposed research and give implications on further researches.
